The anticipated WalchaEnergy project RubyHillsWind, is located 10 kilometres west of Walcha (rural NSW, Australia) within the New England Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). This area has been selected by the NSW Government for renewable developments due to it's abundance of wind, solar and pumped hydro resources, proximity to transmission lines, transport accessibility and the ability of developers to achieve the project goals with minimal environmental and community impacts.
